For the past few months, I have been actively updating this blog every week as a semester long assignment/personal experiment. The results have been staggering. Given my interest in this subject, I never doubted my commitment and hard work; however, the reception from all of you has truly been the driving force behind all the extra work I have done. In about four months, I have amassed over 126,000 views and dozens of followers on Facebook and Twitter. As my class is coming to an end, I have decided to continue working on ElectroPhilly and even expand the blog. In the coming weeks, the blog will focus more on the EDM scene as a whole as opposed to just Philadelphia. Still, local shows and festivals will be covered and hopefully I will be able to offer more of my own media into the articles. The name of site will also be changing, but there will be another reminder about all of this within a day or two of the change.
Of the 27 posts I have written, I have chosen the top 5 based upon my favorite topics and the most popular among all of the readers…
1. Fall Massive Recap: Videos & Photos
2. Excision’s “X Tour” Coming to Philly in 2012
3. Interview with Fratello: Refreshing, Jump Up Productions and Future Plans
4. Skrillex 10/8 + Wolfgang Gartner & Porter Robinson 11/25
5. Video Interview with DJ G-DuBB
On a more serious note, I would like to thank all of you for taking your time to view my site and articles. I never expected this kind of support and attention and I look forward to expanding this blog and giving you even more music and news. There will still be a few posts per week; however, most of my focus will be on expanding ElectroPhilly and getting it up as soon as possible. A very special thank you to all of my friends and family who have been a huge part the success of this site, but the biggest thank you goes out to the thousands of viewers who share my passion for EDM. Thank you.
